Marty and I have dropped our newest short discussion. In this episode, we discuss the sudden surge of funding towards the Canadian military and what it means for the nation’s defence forces. While increased spending aims to bolster security, concerns arise about whether the funds are being used wisely and efficiently. The conversation touches on the potential consequences of rapid expansion, risks of lowering quality standards, and the challenges of ensuring accountability among leaders entrusted with substantial budgets. Ultimately, we emphasize the importance of skepticism and prudence in securing Canada’s military future while working towards positive change.

Creative-destruction is the business term. However, John Boyd wrote a paper on Destruction and Creation as a way of analyzing and synthesizing for sense-making in novel situations. Sort of like a sudden influx of money when required capabilities are not yet defined for a rather uncertain future.
